Nominations Open

Divine Abode Foundation announces that nominations are now open for the next annual award. 

There is no fee for nominators or nominees to enter this award program. 

Nominations are open to any individual or organization involved in Sufi performing art , culture, music, paintings, books and films anywhere in the world. 

The deadline for most ISFI awards is 15 August (for awards to be presented the following year).

Nominations received after the deadline or those that are incomplete will be held for consideration the following year. 

The next two consecutive committees automatically consider any nominee not selected for the award. 

Award recipients are announced in September of the year following the nomination deadline. Award nominations can be submitted by several means.

 Nominators may fill out the  submission form and submit it.
You can request  a nomination form in Word format which can be mailed or attached to an e-mail. 

Nominators will also need to arrange for a minimum of two supporting letters. These too may be submitted electronically by email.

The innovative ISFI Award was introduced towards recognizing the best in Sufi arts, culture and creativity. It has developed the awards in order to raise the outline of our dynamic cultural community and provide local individuals and organizations with well deserved recognition. ISFI Award is an accolade by Divine Abode to recognize outstanding achievement in the field of music,films, poetry, literature, art and culture. It is presented during annual international Sufi festival(ISFI) in a award ceremony attended by connoisseur of Indian music and distinguished people from various fields. Followed by performance by renowned musicians and outstanding artists.

OBJECTIVE
Development and promotion of Sufi Culture and Heritage.

COMMITTEE
The Board of Directors as a whole is dependable for decisions.
The Management Committee is accountable for general management, co-ordination of activities and reporting.
The Divine Abode office manages and implements all services, operations, programmes and activities.
The decision of the Jury will be the final on which the Awards on Various category will be conferred to the artiste.

PLATINUM AWARD
ISFI Platinum Award – An Honorary Award – this award is the highest award given to distinguish and exceptional service of the highest order in the field of Art & Culture and to serve mankind. ISFI Platinum Award honor’s arts professionals whose extraordinary careers have had a profound and lasting impact and whose lifetime achievements have contributed significantly to the enrichment of cultural life. Lifetime Awards are nominated and selected by the Divine Abode Board of Trustees

GOLD AWARD
This Award acknowledges pivotal Cultural Staff, Members, Patrons, Sponsors and Artiste of ISFI Festival. It recognizes distinguished efforts of the individual in the field of Creativity and Service.

CATEGORY
The ISFI Platinum Award is a Special Award given for longer-lasting contributions of individuals to the Society.

Music , Performing Art, Art Award, Literary & Scholarly , Author, Sufi Film , Distinguished Personality Award , Sponsor Award , chief patron.

NOMINATION: Each year the ISFI Board of Directors appoints committees responsible for reviewing the candidates for the awards . Each committee carefully considers each of the eligible nominations for that award and either selects the awardee or makes a recommendation to the Board of Directors. Most awards are announced in August of the year following the nomination deadline.

Eligibility: Award recipients are not required to be ISFI members. However, in most cases, nominators must be ISFI members . An individual may not receive more than one award in a year, nor may an individual receive more than one award for the same body of work.

Renomination: Any nominee not chosen is automatically considered for the award by the next two consecutive committees that consider candidates (a minimum of four nominations must now be considered before a committee can select an award recipient). Nominators are encouraged to update or augment the nomination materials, if appropriate, prior to the next year’s deadline.

Award Nomination Requirements : Only complete nomination will be considered by the individual award committee.

This includes: 


Completed award nomination form

Brief citation stating the accomplishments that make the nominee deserving of this particular award.

A one-page narrative description of the significant aspects of the nominee’s career.

Curriculum vitae listing educational background, positions held, publications, awards,honors,activities and offices held.

Four letters of reference. Diversity of support is preferred; not all letters of recommendation should come from nominee’s institution. The nominator may not serve as a reference.

Nominations should be specific about the achievements for which the award is proposed. Clear, concise information about the accomplishments of the nominee is more useful than extensive materials. Excessive documentation will not be distributed to the selection committee. 

Only complete nominations will be considered. Incomplete nominations will be returned or held for consideration when complete.
